Let’s Plan A Robbery EP out 2/26/16
Conceived at a drag show in Brooklyn in August 2014, Acid Dad has quickly become one of the most talked-about bands in the New York scene. Over the past year, their string of infectious psych-punk singles has earned them nods from the likes of NYLON, Village Voice, Impose, HERO, CMJ, The Deli, and more, and has garnered them slots on Brooklyn’s Gigawatts Festival and Color Me Bushwick. Dingus once described them as “so fucking good” and if you listen to their most recent single, “Grim,” you’ll see why. Between dropping awesome tracks like that one, Acid Dad has made a name for themselves as one of the tightest, tireless, and most energetic live bands in the Brooklyn scene, with Oh My Rockness naming them one of the site’s ‘Hardest-Working Bands of 2015.’ The band recently played six CMJ Music Marathon shows, including Austin Psych Fest’s Levitation showcase at Rough Trade alongside Drinks, Mild High Club, and Shannon & the Clams. Look out for their debut EP, Let’s Plan A Robbery, in early 2016, as well as an extensive tour that’ll take them across America, Canada, and England to festivals such the Savannah Stopover, Treefort Music Fest, and Canadian Music Week, among others.
